Contact your Senator or Representative regarding the Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force Report

Posted over 4 years ago by Sara Hocking

The Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force Report was released this past spring. It can be found here.

It has recommendations that are supported by most everyone in the pain management community. We, along with other organizations, have been talking to Congressional offices and Committees on Capitol Hill seeking a hearing, and we need your help. Please contact both of your US Senator’s Washington, D.C. offices by telephone and/or email, ask to speak with their health policy staff member, and say this to them:

My name is _____, and I live in (City, State). I am a member of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing® (ASPMN®).

I am calling/emailing today to request that the Senate hold a hearing soon on the HHS Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force Report, and ensure that no less than one pain management nurse be invited to provide testimony at the hearing.

I am happy to put you in contact with someone from ASPMN® who can help you identify a pain management nurse to provide this testimony.

Thank you for your consideration of my request.
