BUPRENORPHINE: Clinical Tips for Prescribing for Chronic Pain and/or Opioid Use Disorder

Buprenorphine is a safe and effective medication for treatment of both opioid use disorder (OUD) and chronic pain. This webinar will consider its history, FDA-approved products, and some principles for clinical use.

 

Mark Murphy, MD, is a clinical assistant professor at the University of WA Department of Family Medicine and board-certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 30 years, currently practicing with MultiCare in his area of expertise, Pain Management/Addiction Medicine.  Dr. Mark T. Murphy has extensive experience in treating rheumatoid arthritis, anxiety disorders, depression, among other conditions.
